Several topics were discussed during a Thursday meeting between the province’s municipal affairs minister and several Grande Prairie city councillors.
Minister Shay Anderson met with the entire council – minus mayor Bill Given, with discussion points including infrastructure funding for Highway 40, changing the status of GPRC to a Polytechnic school, and how revenue from cannabis will be shared with municipalities after legalization.
Councillor Yad Minhas also took Anderson on a tour of Minhas Group businesses, where further discussions took place regarding business and economic development in the region.
Anderson says he will take the concerns brought forward to him by city council back to the legislature.
